Sometimes I feel so incredibly lucky to have experienced so much of what life has to offer. Because listen to me now... There are an unlimited amount of amazing life choices to be made out there, something that is essentially kinda terrifying and risky at times for sure. But seriously, I wish for everyone to make those crazy choices, step out of your comfort zone and into a new adventure, because that is the essence of what life should be about.
Over three years ago now, we sold everything we owned(house, car, furniture, ski gear, toys and even the pots and pans) and moved to a tiny island off the coast of Southern Thailand. My husband Noam, my 8yr old son Ben and I arrived with 6 backpacks and our second son in my belly(4months pregnant)! Honestly I could write a book about all the experiences we had, but to sum it all up... it was amazing and life changing.
After three years we decided it was finally time to return to Canada and more specifically Ottawa, Ontario. We are essentially starting a brand new adventure as I haven't lived in this area since I was 19 years old! It feels great to be back around family and old friends and to introduce my 2 year old to what snow sports are all about! I am loving all the "city" has to offer and we appreciate our little house in the woods for peace and quiet time.
I have included below a few shots of my first family portrait session in the Ottawa area and the land of the cold! We are a long way from the beaches of Thailand now, but I love the fashion of the north... furry hats and funky scarves!
